Racing personality, Ernie Saxton was on hand to interview Legends Marvin Panch, Rex White, David Pearson, “Big Daddy” Don Garlitts, Johnny Allen, Chris Economacki, Russ Truelove, Mad Marion, Bugsy Stevens and a host of others.

Among the awards presented by the club is the ARL Presidential Award. The award is presented to an individual who has made exemplary contributions to auto racing through hard work and dedication to the sport. Last year’s recipient of this award, Legend driver, Dave Marcis presented the ARL Presidential Award to NASCAR Legend, Junie Donlavy. This year Bill Wimble, Kenny Brightbill, Vicki Wood, Tim Sullivan and George Compton were honored with the ARL Lifetime Achievement Award. Frankie Schnieder, Lew Boyd, Dick Fleck, Wyman “Cookie” Osterhout and Dot Gladis make the presentations.

The history of auto racing is filled with a multitude of heroes and brave men and women and their amazing machines. The Auto Racing Legends was formed by a handful of race enthusiasts whose desire was to honor these pioneers of this sport. The club is delighted to be able to bring old friends together for a relaxed fun filled evening.
